Simon is the co-founder and Managing Director & CEO of Prime Financial Group Ltd (Prime) since 1998. Simon has extensive experience in Wealth Management & Accounting Services across operations, strategy and acquisitions.

Stuart James – Chairman

Stuart has held a number of high profile executive positions during his career and has extensive experience in the financial services sector.Stuart’s past roles have included Managing Director of Australian Financial Services for Colonial and Managing Director of Colonial State Bank (formerly the State Bank of N.S.W). Stuart’s most recent executive role was as CEO of the Mayne Group. Stuart is the Chairman of Pulse Health Ltd (appointed November 2007), Non – Executive Director of Greencross Ltd (appointed October 2009) and Non- Executive Director of Affinity Education Group Limited (appointed December 2013). Stuart is the Chairman of Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees.

Peter Madder – CFO & Company Secretary

Peter is a co-founder of Prime and has also been the Managing Partner of two accounting firms. Peter is a chartered accountant and has over 40 years experience advising clients on financial matters, business structuring, asset protection, corporate finance, acquisitions, estate planning and succession planning.

Matthew Cohen – Chief Operating Officer

Matthew has over 20 years’ experience working both locally and internationally for leading firms within the Financial Services & Accounting sector including Westpac, PwC and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. During this time he has managed many facets of running a business from strategy, line management, operations project delivery and finance.

Jonathan Bayes, Chief Investment Officer, Prime Financial Group

Jonathan Bayes – Chief Investment Officer

Jonathan’s investment market experience spans over 17 years. Having initially worked on the Australian institutional equities desk at Credit Suisse & HSBC, he then spent 9 years in London advising & trading European equities for Credit Suisse. Recently Jonathan has lived in Hong Kong managing Asian equity funds for Trafalgar Capital Management and then serving as an Executive Director at Nomura International providing institutional advice on Asian equities.

Mark Johnson – Chairman of the Investment Committee & Director - Private Client Adviser

Mark has been in the Financial Services industry for over 18 years with Citibank, Patersons and Prime for over ten years and is a qualified financial adviser. As Chairman of the Investment Committee, Mark provides oversight and governance working closely with the Chief Investment Officer and other committee members. Separately, Mark is a Director – Private Client Adviser working with family groups and high net worth clients.

Tim Bennett, Head of Corporate Development, Prime Financial Group

Tim Bennett – Director – Corporate Development

Tim is responsible for leading Prime’s accounting firm investments, as well as the origination of new accounting firm partners for Prime’s wealth management joint ventures.
Prior to joining Prime, Tim was a partner at Ernst & Young and led the Sydney-based Mergers & Acquisitions group. With over 13 years specialist M&A experience, Tim has advised on a range of transactions, across all industry sectors, covering complex business and asset carve-outs and divestments, mergers and acquisitions, private company capital raisings (debt and equity) and IPOs, together with a range of financial sponsor (private equity) transactions. Prior to Ernst & Young, Tim was previously with PricewaterhouseCoopers in their Mergers & Acquisitions team, in both Sydney and Melbourne.

Brent Quinn – National Alliance Director

Brent commenced his career in the mid 1990’s in Pulp and Paper commodities. He then moved to the UK where he worked in the Insolvency sector specialising in the turnaround of distressed, small to mid-size businesses. Upon his return to Australia, Brent worked in the Recruitment and Allied services sector before starting a Global Internet Business focusing on the repatriation of Australia Expats.
Brent joined Prime in 2010 originally as an Investment Adviser; he currently holds the position of National Alliance Director and is also a qualified Private Client Adviser..
